Our Commitment – Sustainability

As leaders in food service with operations across Australia and New Zealand, Alliance Catering is continually seeking ways to minimise our impact on the environments in which we all live.

We recognise the role we play as educators and work with our clients and sites to identify best practice initiatives and opportunities to manage our use of resources.

We have a team of Environmental Champions operating throughout our business that meet regularly to identify, establish and action best practice, engaging with localised teams to ensure we think global and act local.

Examples of some of our most recent initiatives include;

  • Water usage site audits and equipment upgrades at over 100 sites throughout Australia to minimise water wastage


  • Installing Bokashi Food Waste Recycling Systems to manage food waste


  • Introducing KeepCups to our customers and outlets to actively reduce the number of takeaway coffee cups that end up in landfill


  • Working with our clients and site teams to achieve Green Table accreditation. Green Table is a certification program designed to promote best practice in water conservation, energy saving, waste management and supplier awareness throughout the restaurant and catering industry


  • Switching our Australian car fleet to more fuel-efficient locally made vehicles.

Our food philosophy determines that the majority of our food is produced fresh on site, reducing packaging and waste. Our focus on seasonal produce also reduces food miles, lessening the need for transporting food over long distances. We are committed to ensure over 90% of our packaging onsite is recyclable or biodegradable.
